Looking for a job helping new students at SOAR?

POSITION: Cross-College Advising Service (CCAS) SOAR Peer Advisors, Summer 2017

DESCRIPTION:

Cross-College Advising Service (CCAS) provides academic advising for undergraduates who are exploring majors. CCAS is dedicated to holistic student learning and serves the University of Wisconsin-Madison across all eight undergraduate schools and colleges. Peer advisors work collaboratively with CCAS professional advisors as well as individually to talk with students about their academic options and help them to select and enroll in courses. In addition, peer advisors provide valuable campus information and model successful student behavior. They also perform a variety of daily tasks as assigned.

Peer advisors can gain skills in problem solving and communication, are committed to helping exploring students, and possess a willingness to learn.

We invite, welcome and encourage applicants from across all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, city/state/country countries of origin, and academic interests to apply. No prior experience is necessary; training on both academic content and advising skills will be provided.
