CCAS Open House & Freshman GO!

**Stay tuned for information about the 2017 CCAS Orientation**

Your Wisconsin Experience began when you attended SOAR, and like that first experience, your time here will be defined not only by what you learn, but by the connections you make. To continue making those campus connections and learning how to be successful in your first year at UW-Madison, join us for the CCAS Open House and Freshman GO orientation program this fall.

The CCAS Open House  on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 1:00-3:00pm in each of our five residence hall offices. At the Open House you will:

  • meet the professional and peer advisors in that office
  • tour a CCAS residence hall office
  • get information on important enrollment deadlines
  • ask any questions you have as you begin your time as a UW-Madison student

Based on your assigned CCAS advisor, you were asked at SOAR to attend a particular Open House. See the materials you received upon checking out with us at SOAR, or email your advisor if you are unable to find that information. You may also call the CCAS front office at 608-265-5460 with questions. Look for a reminder email before the start of the semester.

CCAS Freshman GO! is a one-time small group orientation program being held a few weeks after the start of the semester. At this session you will have a chance to:

  • reconnect with CCAS professional and peer advisors
  • meet a small group of other CCAS students in your residence hall or neighborhood
  • learn more about exploring majors and careers and identifying the major that's the best fit for you
  • hear real stories about how major and career exploration has helped other students succeed
  • learn about valuable campus resources

All incoming CCAS freshman students are expected to attend a CCAS Freshman GO! session. You should have signed up for a specific session at SOAR. See the materials you received upon checking out with us at SOAR, or email your assigned advisor if you're unable to find that information. You'll also receive an email at the start of the semester with more details, including the date, time, and location of your session.
